• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

Sako Collectors Club Discussion Forum

400-1600 usd. We need pix, lots of pix.

Scope @200 if in good shape.

Sako rings? 50-75 for lows, again, if in good shape. 100+ for OEM mediums or highs.

Not sure about rings I don't remember it is a L461. Just don't shoot it anymore used it for coyotes. Thanks for info.

Was .223 the original caliber? Others might speak to its value, I'm not that in tune with the older series. If so, I think they were pretty rare in .223. Any more pix? Those are Redfield or Burris rings and bases(extended front). That scope looks like a 3x9 to me, it has a larger objective than my 2x7's?

The scope certainly looks like a Leupold 3-9, not a 2-7. You might want to examine it once again.

The Redfield bases are not correct for the rifle. They will work, but are bases for a Sako long action rifle. It is likely that they are not properly seated on the dovetails, but are rather held in place with the set screws. This condition needs to be corrected. However, other than the set screws likely scarring the tops of the dovetails, this doesn't impact the value of the rifle itself.

Possibly......a too short eye relief condition?

If the bases were "fitted"....he should have been ok.
