• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

Hello Kirk,
I have a Winchester Model 1892 { Take Down } in .25 - 20 WCF Calibre. The rifle was a special order for England Gt. Britain with round barrel and shotgun style steel butt - plate. The rifle was made in 1895 and is stocked in Walnut. After 1900 Winchester used Gum wood on their lever - action rifles as there was a shortage of walnut at that time. If you look at the heading 6,3 X33R you will see photo's of this rifle along with my Sako L46 - 6,3 X 33 R.

I see them. I have tons of Winchester’s and Sakos, but no 25-20’s. I keep hoping someday I can get a 25-20 that isn’t a wreck...

Hello Kirk,

I just lucked onto my 1892, .25 - 20 WCF It had slept in a safe for 30 years. I know alot of people like the octangle barrel, but I like the round barrel. Half & half is quite nice as well. The rifling is crisp and no looseness in the action. She shoots lovely with a distintive " POP ". The problem we have in England UK is the lack of ammunition! When I purchased the rifle I was lucky enough to inherit 200 rounds of Remington 86 g. Also the bloke I purchased the rifle from had all the RCBS re - loading equipment.
