• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

AIII Classic, Great Wood

Well, as I mentioned in another post, I was getting a little depressed since it had been months since I had been able to dull the pain of my Sako addiction with another fix. So I was giddy when I saw this Classic grade AIII .30-06 advertised locally. Now, I needed yet another .30-06 about like Donald Trump needs another indictment, but the wood on this one was more than just a cut above. It is some marvelously figured American Walnut in well cared-for condition and I immediately mounted a gloss Leupold 3-9 on it to be ready for business. Maybe it will stave off the Sako-addiction delirium tremens for a little while longer. Classic1.jpg Classic2.jpg Classic3.jpg

Absolutely fantastic! That Sako would be the pride of any collection. Congratulations on scoring one of the most beautiful Sakos in captivity.

Department of Unfulfilled Wishes - wouldn't it have been fantastic if Sako had made Mannlicher carbines with Classic-style buttstocks. The L46 Mannlicher-style long rifle had a classic-style stock and it's one of my favorites.

Great pick up, awesome wood. The elegant lines of the Sako Classic along with the small red pad, contrasting grip cap, and the fine checkering makes these one of my favorites.

Also note that this is the AIII, which had forearm checkering which wrapped fully around the stock👍. Later AV's only had panels on each side of the forearm.

Had some nice weather yesterday afternoon so I took it out to sight it in. I didn't shoot a group after getting it near the proper impact point at 100 yards, but went instead to the 8" metal gong at 300 yards. It passed the test on the first shot. What can be better than a rifle that not only looks good but shoots good?
