• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

Iam hoping to have enough lifetimes to finish all the projects. I will practice-up on the complete barreled-actions first. The Kurz Mauser should be the simplest to inlet and the Mannlicher Schoenauer 1903 is probably going to be a hair-puller. I still have to barrel the Krag and it has it's own "isms" as far as inletting goes. Ironically, barreling the Norwegian Krag is the easiest thing to do out of all of-it. 12 Thread-Per-Inch, Left-handed, square-thread only sounds daunting until you have threaded one. It is amazing how much nicer threading away from the chuck is. once you do your undercut; and the chips are nowhere near as ornery as the V-thread.

Pretty nice timber!
Thanx! I went to the "Fine Lumber" outfit and asked for crotch Walnut. She said "We don't have anything like that here" and I went past the end of the counter and here this beautiful hunk of wood stood in the corner. It had "Crotch Walnut" written right on-it. I was so angered I would have bought-it for spite, but when I brought-it to the cash she said it would be 249.00 and I paid-it gladly. I guess she had her heart set on making a coffee-table out of-it or something because she asked me what I was going to do with it. I told her I was a gunsmith and was going to make-it into gunstocks. She said she would like to see that. The thing is, if she wouldn't have been so dismissive and devious, I would have gladly advertised where I got the wood-for free-but I won't because she blew smoke up my arse. Their name is written right-on-it in Grease -pencil but I turned-it down so you can't see-it. I guess my spite is a Finnish thing I can't shake.

Nice little P46 there Deersako!
I wish it was open season for rabbit here.
