I wasn't aware of different size loops. I would call these 1 1/4 inch.
That rifle was built before the .300 Win Mag, etc. became popular. A .300 Magnum was a .300 H&H, except for a couple of wildcats that were not chambered in commercial rifles. Any Sako that is marked .300 Magnum, as opposed to .300 Winchester Magnum, etc., is a .300 H&H. Unless, of course, some idiot with a reamer and nothing better to do has rechambered it in .300 Weatherby, which you see from time to time. It was a fairly popular modification back in the heyday of Weatherby. Usually the Bubba who did it would restamp the chamber, but not always.That's a beautiful rifle. Out of curiousity how do you know it's a .300 H&H Magnum rather than another .300 magnum caliber?
