Wondering about applying linseed oil to the wood stock, good idea, bad idea. Sako mannlicher 243 2 years old. Thanks for the help
Very bad idea! Unless you like a gooie, sticky stock in warm weather. Straight linseed oil has no dryers or hardeners & the wood will not absorb it through the sprayed on synthetic finish on your rifle. Just use some Renaissance Wax or Johnson's Paste Wax if you feel you need more protection than a 2 year old factory finish already provides.
