Can brass be posted into the United States. I would imagine so.

    Rick,

You can make "make do" brass from .223. The rim/base is .020" undersized, but at the pressures the 7x33 is loaded to it should do for a couple of firings. Of course, you'll have to have a proper 7x33 FL die to do this, which is in itself a challenge to find.

The bigger problem is bullets. First, the groove diameter of the 7x33 is .286", not .284 like most 7mm's. A .284 bullet will "bump up" and shoot okay, however. The greater problem is finding a 7mm bullet which will be short enough to fit in the very limited magazine of the 7x33. If you could find a way to consistently trim the nose off of a Hornady 100 grain HP that would make a functional bullet for the 7x33. If you're into casting bullets, a custom mold that drops about a 90 grain .286" RN bullet would be fantastic. Some custom bullet makers in the past have supplied a bullet for the Japanese 7mm Nambu pistol, and that bullet will work in the 7x33.

I was in Finland in 2015 and found a gun store which had a large supply of factory Sako bullets for the 7x33, but was unsure if I would have problems bringing them home in my baggage and through (often unfriendly) U.S. Customs.
