• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

I have found a very low number VL63 Sako Collector Edition still its box, which is also in the original cardboard box it was shipped in. The cardboard box has the Stoeger shipping label on the outside. The gun is absolutely mint. The man that has it says he won't take it out of the wrapper till I am sure I want it. He has mentioned $1800. It is his personal rifle as he was a member back then. What is this really worth? This is the one that they made 175.

.308 or .243? The .308's generally are worth a little more. I also believe that a matched set is worth more than twice the value of a single rifle. That said, $1800 sounds like an attractive price for a NIB 1 of 175, no matter which the caliber.

trams,
Even though the price seems in the ball park, I wouldn't agree to buy anything without a thorough inspection. I'm sure 98% of the time it will be OK. I agree with stonecreek that the individual rifles in that run will be cheaper per rifle as opposed to having the matched pair. I'd offer him $1650 as is, or take it out for you to see. That should show you are a serious buyer.
