• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

I have a unfired/unused sako All in 243, this gun has only one small indention on the stock near the bolt handle other than that therer are no marks on the entire gun. No blue wear, no other marks on the stock at all, no marks on the but pad, no brass on the bolt face, no marks on the mag follower, no nothing.

My question is, is there any collector value in this rifle and what would the value be?

Usually for there to be a premium paid for a new rifle like yours it has to have the box, hangtag and all factory literature that came with it. If you can't provide these items with the rifle most buyers look at it as a mint rifle, not new. Having said that I had a NIB A2 243 Varmint that I, are you ready....threw away the paperwork, and hangtag and used the box to ship a rifle to someone else. Cleaned it up and put it in my safe, never shot it. Fast forward 7 years later(about 8 months ago) I got 850.00 for it on GB and had to lower my starting price to get that. When I said it was new everyone asked if I had the box and hangtag/paperwork that went with it. I think one of the reasons I didn't get more was because of the caliber, 243, the 22-250 just seems to bring more.

cmjr,

Thanks for the reply, really don't want to shoot this one. Would rather have a forester in 22-250 that had been used some. Don't know what I will do yet. Time will tell. Thanks, Javy.
