• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

Guy at the range told me Tikka has come out with a heavy barrell tactical rifle (T3??). He did not know how much, or any other details. I would like to see pic of the rifle, info on weight, bbl length, calibers, etc., etc. Stopped at a dealer today, he said he has heard something about it, but he had no brochures or other info. Can someone lead me to a site for info on this rifle? I do not even know what it is called. Thanks,all.

You will find details/picteres of the T-3 Tactical at the Tikka website. Go to www.tikka.fi and you will see the pdf catalogue at bottom left of the home page...............it takes about 60 seconds to download. Good details of all the T-3 range there.

I have one in 223, NightForce NXS, Leupold Mark 4 Rings.
Awesome gun, I don't have pictures but it almost shoots itself.
The barrel is 24", it also comes in 20". I think the T3 Varmint is similar in some ways, but the Tactical looks like it means business. I put a Versapod bipod on it. I prefer this to the Harris bipod, a little more versitile.
For calibers, I believe it comes in 223, 308, and 300 win mag.
I went with the 223 because ammo is cheap and gophers don't care.
I haven't weighed out the gun yet but I bet its over 15 pounds. The rings alone were over a pound I think.
I paid $1600 for the gun and $1925 for the scope.
Alot of money but I don't regret it for a second.

Bigwhite - Forgot about this for a while. I am still thinking about the Tikka Tactical. Are you using factory or handloaded ammo? What kind of accuracy/velocity are you getting? I am thinking about the .308 for 500 meter paper groundhogs. I have a NF NXS 12-42 to put on it. Thanks, Gene
