Tikka M558 in .223

    Hi folks. My first Tikka - found an unfired, mint-in-the-box, M558 in .223. Absolutely beautiful rifle with a very smooth action. Beretta still had Optilock rings/bases for it (which are on the way). I'm going to pair it with a vintage, glossy-finish scope. IMG_2416.jpeg IMG_2417.jpeg IMG_2418.jpeg

    Nice looking Tikka Chuck. Glad you found the ring and base set for it. In the photos of the Tikka you recently commented on you’ll notice that rifle has what appears to be Warne ringmounts on it. The dovetail is the same width as today’s Tikka rifles. The difference is today’s Tikka rail/dovetail is less refined than vintage models.
