• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

I was actually on the phone with my buddy and the two of us were trying to decide which one was going to grab it when it dawned on me that someone like emmerth was probably out there about to pounce -- so I clicked "BIN" right then!

By the way, I'm sure there are others, but it is the only .222 Magnum I've ever seen with the later plunger-style floorplate release and no "Bofors" mark. The .222 Magnum was waning in popularity (lost to the .223) in the later pre-Garcia years and not that many of them were sold. I'll be sure to report how it shoots.

Congrats again Stonecreek- They shoot just like a Sako should. I had one out today and had some Berger 35s with 26 grns of IMR 3031. Groups were astounding. The 40 Grn Hornadys were also tight (V-Max) same loading.-Misako

Here is another prime example of "serial number mystery". Mine is a standard sporter with super high polish on all metal parts. It has no import marks and a Bofors Steel marked barrel. It has the S-type floor plate release. The number is 87XXX. Go figure.-Misako

Stone: It would be great to see some pictures if you are up to it. I'm in the market for a .222 or .222 Mag and trying to understand the options and what I would be paying more or less $ for.
