• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

Short Actions Stock For L469 Heavy Barrel

Sako Collectors Club Discussion Forum

I own a Sako in 221 Fireball heavy barrel originally a 222 Magnum clip fed L469. The orignal stock and barrel are long gone. I bought a replacement Sako stock that was broken and repaired. Nobody seems to make a replacement stock for an L469 at any sort of reasonable dollar amount. My question is in looking on line it appears that the bottom metal for an L46 clip fed appears identical. Can I buy a semi-inletted stock for an L46 and have it fit? It looks like Richard Microfit Stocks has a Sako L46 Clip stock semi-inletted blank that they sell. Not looking for fancy wood just something that will hold point of impact when shooting rockchucks. I do my own glass bedding so that is not a problem.

It's not a clip, it's a detachable box magazine! You will probably have to take some wood out for the magazine area for it to fit, but it should be doable. I have an old L469 stock that I have used in a duplicating machine to make stocks from blanks & the L46 will fit it as well.
