    Hi all,
Am in need of a 7/8" butt stock swivel-the screw-in type. If any of you have such and would part with in exchange for money, I would appreciate hearing from you.
    Thanks,
    Stephen

An original Sako sling swivel will be nearly impossible to find unless you can scavenge one from a beater stock.

You can buy a conventional fixed swivel in the Uncle Mike's line of accessories. It will be 1", but that is difficult to tell from the early Sako 7/8" sling swivels. Some Sako original swivels may have had a larger diameter screw than the Uncle Mike's replacement. If so, fill the hole with wood putty or some other appropriate material, redrill a pilot hole in it once it hardens, then screw the new swivel in place. The base of the new swivel will cover any filler that might show on the surface, so your repair will look original.
