• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

Sako Triggers Question

I've got a LH Sako Mannlicher AV. The best trigger pull I can get out of it is 3 1/2 lbs. The safety is on the right side. I'm wondering if Sako put right handed triggers w/safeties on their LH rifles? My Remington's have the safeties on the left on LH rifles.
The reason I'm asking is becsause I want to replace my trigger w/safety with one that will adjust between 2 and 3 lbs.
I contacted Timney and they said they did not make a LH trigger for my gun but am wondering if they think the safety needs to be on the left side - reason for their answer.
Any help would be appreciated or links on whom to contact.
Thanx, Mark

Mark- I've never seen a left handed sako in person. If your sako av is factory stock then I would assume that they put a common trigger on both the right hand and left hand rifles. No reason that this wouldn't work providing the stock was inletted for it. If it were my rifle, I would let a competent smith adjust your trigger. You should be able to do better than 3.5lbs with the sako trigger. My opinion worth 2 cents.- Misako
