• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

Sako Super Deluxe

Sako Collectors Club Discussion Forum

I don`t think a 300 Win Mag in Super Deluxe is a one of a kind special order rifle
as stated in the listing. But it sure has eye appeal; with very nice wood. Wayne

But, hey -- it's got the added value of someone having drilled and tapped the barrel to mount after-market iron sights. They even went to the trouble to find a replacement hood for the one they lost that almost fits. That's got to add a lot of value to it. Besides, it's in Las Vegas where some drunk who accidentally scored a big one at the tables may wander in and drop his wad on it. Of course, they paid the drunk they got it from who had lost it all about $400 so he could buy a plane ticket home. All things considered, AG might advise them to raise the price.

Well, the Williams rear sight is what Sako was putting on their carbines back then, up until the early A- series guns, so maybe. I've seen Deluxes with the knurled sako rears and the current angled style rear sights (I have one), so it wouldn't surprise me if some S-D's came out with them.. I agree that hood doesn't fit the front sight. Which is probably Williams as well. The hood looks OEM Sako-(461-61) era. I don't think that stock warrants a Super-deluxe moniker. The rt side is boring!

Here is one that has no engraved floor plate or at least none shown. Has anyone seen a genuine Super Deluxe without engraving before? No comment from me on the price. Sakojim.

"Absolutely New In Box"! Check out the obvious wear on the dimples of the butt pad. And notice that there is no photo of the floorplate. And the sights are aftermarket. It comes with box, but no photo of the end label. Who's kidding whom?

My wife and I were just thru there last September. We noticed all the people exiting the store had their wrists tied to their ankles.
