• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

sako riihamaki

Sako Collectors Club Discussion Forum

buy it, if you know of one for sale. It doesn't get any better than the little Riihimaki action from that era. Most of the Riihimaki rifles were chambered for the .222 Remington, some were in .22 Hornet, and even fewer in .218 Bee, .222 Remington Magnum, 7x33 Sako and .25-20. Even if the rifle is a beater, it probably will shoot very well, and may be a project for you for restoration. Good luck.

thanks for the info, it was a retirerment gift for my grandfather, excellent shape. I have already handloaded for it and it shoots very very nice. thanks again.

If you are talking about the L46 they are great little rifles. I have what I believe to be a custom rifle base on that action. Mine is a.222 and has an Apex barrel and a custom stock it is a wonderful little rifle. I am a Hornet freak. Have owned 5 but never one of these. My latest is a CZ 527 American in a beautiful Maple stock. Shots a nmber of bullets into 1/2 to 3/4" 100yd groups. Best load so far is Hodgdon Lil Gun 13.0 gr, Hornady 35 gr Vmax , Rem case and either Rem 6 1/2 small rifle primer or the Win Small pistol powder. Almost all my Hornet loads are now being started with a WSP primer and after 4 months of experimenting I am sill using Lil Gun. It is by far the best Hornet powder I have used in the 30 years I have been loading them.

You have found a real treasure in that Sako Hornet.
