Wow Kirk. That is the one you told me about when we spoke the other day. Looks like this was deliberate as I can't see that much damage being done to any rifle without intervention by human hands.
That makes me sad, I guess I’d have the best stock maker I could find repair it . Some of those guys can do amazing work. And I agree it looks like it was intentional damage.
When you see a Sako ring that is flattened on top, you know you have had some intentional damage applied to that gun. It is now stored somewhere near the Arc Of The Covenant in a government warehouse that will forever remain unknown.
I got it from a guy in Washington that didn't box it as well as he should have, but I am sure that someone knew it was a gun and maliciously broke it. Insurance paid for it, but they took the gun and I tried to contact them and I only got voicemail for Indiana Jones...
