• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

This rifle is in a different configuration than I am accustomed. It has a grip cap, nice checkering and a heavy recoil pad. It has a 26 inch barrel and sling. What does anyone know about this beauty and whether or not anyone would be interested in buying it? I'm not sure what to do with it...

It looks like an A-III or A-V that has been custom stocked and barreled. Very nice, however. Can you describe any of the markings that might be present?

The Mauser below it is also a classy looking piece. What's it's story? (It's okay to discuss Mausers here because the later FN's used a Sako trigger.)

The second rifle is a Interarms Whitworth in a 7mm STW. It too has a 26 inch barrel. I acquired these in a collection of guns that I got, out of which I only plan to keep a couple. They are both nice rifles, I just don't know that much about either of them, however, they are high quality rifles.

kirk: Yes, looks like the 300 Win is a custom build on a Sako action. Are there any markings on the top, left or right side of the barrel just forward of the action? Also, what style is the grip cap?
