Hello! I have been on the lookout for a Sako Handy now, for quite some time. I'm not sure what I have found, but it is an AV marked action, a laminate stock, deluxe bottom metal, and a clean, no sights 18" barrel in 338 WM. Everything I know, tells me it can't be a legit factory rifle, but then when it comes to Sako, you never know? Special order, or cobbled together?

    Thanks!

Photos would help, but from your description it is what our Aussie friends call a "bitsa" (a bitsa this and a bitsa that). Which doesn't mean that it might not be a very serviceable rifle, just that it is not factory original.

I don't have the rifle yet, so no pics. It looks good, no doubt, but not being a factory rifle kinda takes the shine off, you know? If someone has a Handy, could they provide a stock measurement? I'm looking to see how long the fore end is? Stock bolt to tip, or something like that?
Thanks for the comments so far!
