1. Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

Gents, as you know, I have been looking for someone to fix a few “less perfect” Sako Deluxe floor plates. I have called everyone that I can think of in my area and in my State, and I could not get anyone to work on them. A few weeks ago, I decided to call the “Custom Shop” (ad on our website) and see if they could help. I can say, I am very pleased with the result and working with them is a pleasure.

As you can see, this one looks good as new and it was badly pitted.

They charge depending on the plate. The one you see was in very bad shape. As I know you understand, it is all hand done and takes a lot of time.. This plate cost about $150 to fix. I had another one done (Fox) and I think it was less. They do good work and the turn around time was only a few weeks. I purchased both of these guns (243 Bofors/223) for what I thought was a good price. Both guns were in great shape with the exception of the floor plates.. Now they both look great...I have another 222MAG deluxe that is the same way.. I am going to send them the floor plate and clip in the next week to have fixed. I am a sucker for Sako floor plates and I like them to look their best.. Bowne

Thanks for the info ! that's a scarce plate you have there. I've only seen two or three of them in over 30 years ! I'll register that shop as a go to place for getting work done.

    thanks again,
    DeerGoose
