This is my 1982 Sako AV 7mm rem mag, I bought it unfired from a collector in original box a while back ... just an all-round sweet piece ... I found unused sako med rings and added the period correct Redfield Widefield in 3x9 ... trigger is perfect and it fits like a glove... likes the 154 grain Hornady interlocks and will cloverleaf them - the white lines in photos is light from slats in the deck above and not scratches ...

Fine looking AV. Stock looks like a left over 61R. Love the 7 MM also.

Unfired! Unbeleivable, great pick up, and a great calibre too. Enjoy that.

Great wood. Can you fix those scratches? Tell us about that scope. I have a 7 mag in a Ruger No 1. I really like that round. Nice purchase!

not a mark on feed ramp or bolt - no sign it ever had rings or scope on it in the door - the fellow I bought it from was a bit miffed I was going to shoot it - thought it should remain a virgin ... I doubt the Finnish fellow that built it wanted it not to be used as the trigger is perfect... and I imagine Sako put their proof rounds through it after assembly anyways... I have about 4 boxes of shells through it now

The white lines in the pic are not scratches- that's light filtering thru from the deck above ... the stock is so glossy I wanted shade to get good pics of the figure ... scope is vintage Redfield widefield in 3x9 about the same age as the rifle - I get 1982 as the date on the rifle

    Hi eshift,
Art, form & function!! After seeing that beautiful rifle how can anyone call those black conglomerations of plastis metal & rubber RIFLES!!. They are better described as " mechanical projectile slingers"

my brother uses a SAKO TRG-S M995 in 7mm Rem Mag and while I can't say I really dig the look, I can't argue with his accuracy.
