• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. Hello everyone,
Just bought a Sako 75 single shot NIB to sell in future. My question is how many of these single shots were produced,I know they have 3 or 4 other calibers listed for this run. I contacted Beretta with no answer, E-Mail and phone. Thanks in advance for anyones help!!!

Would need to know more info , cal., stock, trigger, barrel. Some are an easy sell some don't sell well at all. Watch auction sights for some pricing ideas, but they will vary alot somtimes. Single shots tend not create much interest, ( Small crowd ).

In the Blue Book of Gun Values it has it listed as (Sako 75 single shot) page 1598 of 31st edition, it has the set trigger,SS fluted barrel, grey laminated stock, 308 cal. mfg. 2004-2007 if this helps. Thanks for the reply!

Hi all,
Just took delivery of my 75 Single Shot to-day. It is new and unfired, .308, set trigger. Have been looking for one for ages. I paid $2200 AU for it.
It looks great.
Saw another one for sale, after I had bought mine, it had only fired 50 or so shots and they were asking $1800 AU.

That makes three of us (at least) that have one of these rifles. As I recall, the dealers had list prices of about $2,000 US. They didn't seem to sell well and I have seen prices for new ones as low as $1,300 and as high as $3,200 US. I haven't seen very many used rifles but they have ranged from $1,000 to $2,000 US, all in like new condition with little use. These interesting rifles may have some collector interest in the future because my impression is that not many were made. Sako and Beretta probably would have sold more if they had used a black composite stock, included a tripod, and called it a Tactical Rifle.

I shot mine for the first time this weekend. carried out the mandatory barrel run in.
The first three shots of the first five shot group were one ragged hole, the next two shots enlarged the group to just under 1/2 inch.
I used Nosler cases, 155 g, Sierra Palmas and 43 g. BM2 powder set off with a CCI BR2 primer. By the loading manual, this gives 2753 fps. I loaded the Palmas 10 thou. off the lands.
43 g. powder was the top load, I tried some lighter loads as well, but the groups opened up.
All up, I am very happy with the outfit.
I have a Swarovski 6-18 scope on top held in place with Sako optilocks.
The set trigger is crisp and very light when set. It is also a very good trigger when unset. Well, it's a Sako.

Thanks Tony. I'm not familiar with BM2...do you know if there is a US equivalent? I hope to get to the range this week or next to test my rifle.

Sako custom single shot .308

Hi I am new to this forum
I recently bought a Sako custom single shot with heavy fluted barrel single set trigger and gray laminated stock with beavertail forend. I searched a while to find info on it. Beretta had it on their website as discontinued but had all the specs it supposedly is a Sako custom shop rifle it comes with the action bedded to the stock & bolt fitted and chambered by hand in their shop. I can say that it shoots better than any factory rifle I have ever owned and I have owned a few. My first handloads shot less than 1/2 moa. I have been to the range a few times with it trying different loads so far everything from 155 gr. to 180 gr. bullets all shoot 1/2 or less I love it.This is also my first Sako the trigger impressed me first when I took it out of the box that also is the best I have ever pulled.
Regards
Bob
