SAKO 75 action/inletting

    Are the dimensions of action IV (3006) the same as action V ( 7 mm rem mag..)


    And can it fit the same stock

    if not, what's the difference.

    It's going to take someone that owns both to check & measure them. Like the III & the SM they are the same length but have different bolt faces, but may have slight differences in width like the III & SM do, as well. Not too many here that have or show much collector interest in the 75 or current 85, so the knowledge base just isn't as strong as it is for the older Sakos. I suspect that there are more differences than just the bolt face, but am unable to say for certain.

    My guess is that stocks will interchange, but like Paulson, my knowledge of post-20th Century Sakos is limited.

    V receiver is 9 mm longer and 2 mm wider than IV, so they don't interchange.
