• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

I picked up a new stock (should be here next week) for my AV. I've never bedded a Sako action, but would like to with this one.

Can someone provide me with a schematic of the trigger assembly? I'm having nightmares of springs and pins flying all over the place when I attempt this. Are Sako triggers fairly easy to remove?
As I bought this rifle used, I don't even have the manual.

Thanks in advance,

Mike

Thanks wookie!

I'm going to bed my 6.5X55 Swede. Got a Fiberclass and a laminant. Haven't completely decided which one I'm goin to use yet. Figure I will keep the original stock pristine.

If it is your first bedding job, find a practice gun to try first. I'd have a pro do it for the $150.00 it will cost you. It's a Sako dude not a Remmy! The price on the Laminate is $100.00 less than he quoted me on it. Guess us Canadians have to pay more (LOL)!!!

I did some horse trading with the guy and got a package rate for buying multiples. Like I said, they're not in my hand yet...

It's not my first bedding job. To be honest, I wouldn't trust anyone else to do it. The only thing I'm not confident on yet is removing the trigger.
