Does anyone know what Sako recommends regarding action screw torque? I have a new wood-stocked Sako 85, and found nothing about this in the owner's manual. With my other wood-stocked guns I usually start at about 25 in.-lbs. and experiment, but suspect that greater torque might be better with my 85.

    Any suggestions?

Sako manual says 7 Nm (62 in-lb). I would say that is the absolute maximum you should ever go. Better to find something that feels right with the wood density of your particular stock.

That's interesting P04R. Thanks. What manual does that appear in? In my Sako 85 manual, there's nada re torque.

Can you give me the link to that. I'm unclear as to how to find it.
    Thanks.
