I need to replace the original recoil pad on my finnbear 30-06. What would members recommend?
I am thinking of a brown pachmeyer decelerator.

Pachmayr makes a ventilated brown pad which is very close in appearance to the original used by Sako. I'd recommend it to keep the appearance original.

    Hi Mr. Harvey,
Look on Sako med. actions site under recoil pads, There is a lot of info that may help you. The fellows on this site have given me great advice in recoil pad replacement!! Best of luck!!
While on the subject I had my .243 Sako Forester pad replaced & the rifle was still too short for me, had a bad time on the shooting bench with out using my modified lead sled. Just received a slip on pad from Pachmayer, it addes 1" L.O.P. now is 15." Scope comes up correctly aligned & I feel more confident about zeroing. Will take it off when storing the rifle.
