Would someone be kind enough to post a couple of close-up photos of a properly functioning .22 Hornet magazine for the P72 or M78? One from behind and one from above would be ideal. I am having feeding problems with a newly acquired P72 (bullet tip doesn't rise far enough to hit the chamber). I'd like to see the angle of the feed lips on a good mag to figure out what to do with mine. Thanks in advance.

The mag on the right is original to my M78. The rear stop block rests against the trigger guard as a positive stop. The mag on the left is a spare purchased on Ebay, and was shortened in it's length due to a high edge near the spot weld so as to fit the M78's mag well. Did not want to modify the mag well just for a spare mag.

Tripledeuce, thank you for the reply. I actually have a M78 Hornet on the way and saw the small block on the magazine in the pictures before purchasing the gun. When I questioned the seller about it- he didn't know but did say the magazine "was a bit loose in the well and rattled". But from what I can gather, the play in the magazine is normal for the M78's. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks again.

The mag in my P72 fits loosely. I have not yet had the gun apart to see if this is normal or if it is a problem with the mag latch spring.
