One that got away

    Years ago, some mates and I were importing a few Sakos from the US.

    Perusing Gunbroker, I spotted a Tikka combination 12 gauge over 222 Rem with a really nice custom thumbhole stock. High class.

    It was only going for $US 3 hundred or so. At the time, cost landed in Oz in $A was roughly double the price in $US.

    Procrastinated overnight, and it was gone in the morning. The one I really regret not pouncing on. It must still be out there, and I sometimes wonder if it will ever surface again.


    Perfect for fox whistling over here, and the custom stock alone was worth more than the asking price.
