• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

I found a nice Pre-Garcia Deluxe Sako which is rare to begin with, but this one is even more rare as it is marked "Bofors". When you are looking for nice vintage Sakos, this is the criteria you will look for. They didn't make many deluxes in 223 to begin with, but early Bofors marked guns are even more rare. It will be shot soon...

I don't think I've ever seen a Bofors-marked Deluxe .223 -- that's quite a find, and looks in excellent condition. Front sights are also very rare on Deluxes of this vintage.

I don't suppose you'd swap it to me for a Mossberg 16 gauge bolt action shotgun and a Sears Roebuck .22 auto with a Schrade-Walden custom carved stock and complete with a Tasco 4x scope with a 3/4 inch tube? There's a half of a box of paper 16's with #2 shot and a full box of Federal .22's that I'll throw in, along with a nearly full bottle of Hoppes #9 and a cleaning rod (the cleaning rod is for poking the shells out of the Mossberg since its extractor is a little worn).
