After being handed down to me from my grandfather I've taken some time to clean and restore this back to its beauty but when I've recently inserted the bolt into the rifle the firing pin has separated it's self from the bolt and I cannot seem to find and information in this particular bolt setup to get it back together.

Mine is in what looks like a cocked position .
The safety will not move but the bolt released after re inserting it into the action.

Can you post some photos? It could have been based on the Sako P54, but I'm (purely) guessing it was more likely sourced in Canada from someone like Cooey.

thank you for your info..now don't laugh, but what "markings" would be on this gun to show Sako?

If from Sako it would have, among other possible markings, "Made in Finland" somewhere on the receiver or barrel.
