• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

NIB L461 barreled action .222

Was at gun show today here in Little Rock and a guy had a nib Sako(sporter barrel). The action was purchased around 1979, the inspection ticket in the box was dated '79. The guy wants $500 for it, it's still in the original shipping box.

If it had been a hb I would have snatched on the spot, but I need a sporter barrel like another hole in the head.

That sounds like a pretty good deal. You can always pull the barrel and sell it, and just use the action. You should be able to get at least $100 for the barrel.

I have been looking for an NIB A1 action, they are difficult to come by but not impossible. If you ever see an A1 for sale, please drop me a line. I did find a NIB A2 in the white about a year ago.

I did see a NIB L461 action in Gun List a few weeks back. It was the single shot model. I wonder what would take to convert it, a new box magazine and trigger guard/floorplate, or if the action itself is not machined out for the box magazine?. Does anybody know?
