Hello New member here. I have a beautiful Sako Deluxe SM in 7mm WSM. I can’t find any information that Sako ever made a Short mag in 7WSM. Can anyone help?

They did not make many but did make. I have only seen one and it is a deluxe in our safe. Bought a couple years ago. Unless you have an ample supply, brass can be scarce. Seems a batch is made maybe once a year. Few of the suppliers have inventory now.

Thanks for your information. Any idea what they are worth? Maybe I should just hold on to it since I dont use it for the reasons you mentioned.

I really do not know value, but if mint, swag of $1500 give or take. It is a model 75 even though you will not find model 75 stamped on the rifle. Being a 75, the SM deluxe will have a hinged floor plate as standard eq and better bluing. Wood can be gloss or oil finished. I doubt the rifle will appreciate in value anytime soon since it can be a max of 23 years old assuming made in first year.

To compare, I have a Model 75V 7mm mag. They both shoot sub MOA and are ballistically about the same and my hand loads are about the same.

    Hope this helps.

So much for worrying about beautiful rifles and hunting with them....
