Jimbo,
Welcome to the forum, love your part of the Pacific Northwest.
Customs built on Sako actions usually make very fine shooters and hunting rifles. Typically, because the action is of high quality, the rest of the build hopefully will be too. It’s always helpful to know the origins of custom rifle, but sometimes that information is not known, as a rifle is passed from person to person.
If you have any build knowledge please share it along with good quality photos including any stamping or engraving. Also, take a couple of photos showing the entire rifle on both sides.
Someone probably spent a good sum putting it together, but as a custom it’s value won’t rise to a collector rifle in original condition, unless there are extenuating circumstances.
Most likely none of this matter to you, if you were attracted to it - then purchased it. If it shoots good either off the bench or as a hunting rifle then maybe that’s all that matters.
