Sako My new SAKO

    I did go through with the re-bore and glad I did. It is a shooter and I have it sighted in and ready for deer season about 7 weeks away. You can see from the target how well it shoots with my cast HP bullets. The target was shot at 50 yards about 20 yds longer than most of my shots at deer.

    Congrats on your "new" Sako. Cast bullet shooting is largely a lost art with most of us these days. But about a jillion deer have been taken with cast projectiles over the years, from round balls to Minies, and I'm sure it is satisfying to take a deer with a bullet you cast yourself.
