I’m sure they made some. Saw an ad for someone looking to buy one, but somebody else replied that Sako didn’t start chambering for that cartridge until the 85 came out. Am pretty sure I saw a closeout 75 .204R (Varmint) on sale at a local dealer some years back and was ready to buy, but it was soon gone.

They were made in laminated varmint stainless version toward end of the model 75 run. I have seen only one at the gun range. Not sure if others types of 204s were imported, but I do not think so. Others may jump in with more information.

I and a friend had 75 varmint 204 laminate stainless rifles. Both had fluted barrels. I have yet to see another style in the 75 model. The 75's are built well but I prefer the 85 as the stock is sleeker.

They actually built the Varmint with a walnut stock as well in the model 75 .204 Ruger.
