I recently purchased a 1939 M28/30. I want to reload my old brass with .308 bullets because the barrel is 308. The brass I have is from shooting .312 bullets out of a M39 so the cases are a little too large. I think I figured out how to size the case down from 312 to 308 with the expander ball from RCBS. I'd love to hear from others who have done the same to make sure I'm on the right track or if there are other options or tricks I should know about for loading for the m28/30.

Also, what have others done for a loading mixture? I'm planning on using IMR4895 and Honday FMJBT 308 bullets, the same ones I use or my Garand. The Hornady manual has a mix listed. Any other mixtures out there that have been used with good success?
