• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

i have a sako i bought many years ago i have never been able to get any info.on can one of you guys tell me something about what i have?

this gun is completely parkerized stock and barrel in a very nice green camo wirkle finnish.the gun is stainless steel the barrel is about 1.24" at the action and finishes about .76" at the muzzle.the barrel is 25.5" long with a nice crown.as i said the whole gun is finshed except three spots (1 )has Sako AV576XXX ( 2 ) Has 25-06 Rem ( 3 ) has HI TECH SPECIALTIES The stock looks simuler to a varmit with a wide forarm but a hi cheek like a tact.

i had bought this gun very cheep many years ago to sell never being a great 25-06 fan ( not that i have anthing against them )

Can any one tell me what i have and what this rig might be worth?

You've got a custom rifle built on a Sako AV action. Stock and barrel are aftermarket items and unless you can positively identify the barrel maker it's basically worth the value of it's components. Depending on the quality of the barrel and finishing I would guess anywhere from 6-900.00. Much higher and guys will generally build their own.

Sure, they make synthetic stocks, they're not the quality of McMillan or HS, usually run around 250.00. From what I remember they had a pretty limited offering as in style.
