• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

Well I am new here and I am in the market in the next couple of months for a new hunting rifle. I have recentley had my curiosity piqued by Sako, they are sure a good looking rifle and they have a reputation for quality. I think with pistols I have learned the "you get what you pay for" saying to be true. my last purchase was a Freedom Arms and boy was it worth it.

I want my next purchase to be something I pick out for myself since to date all I have owned are hand me down rifles. I am torn between an '06 or a 7mm mag. I hunt dear and elk in NW Oregon so a long shot would be 150 to 200 yards maybe, with most under 75 yards I currently hunt with and hand load for an '06 thanks for any replies.

It doesn't sound like what I have is up your alley, but I have a Sako .375 H&H; Mannlicher Carbine. Fewer than 50 rounds (lightest handloads) put through it, with box. I would like to sell it. Asking $1200.

thanks, but I am more interested in learning something about Sako's right now. I constantly see them at gun shows and local stores but I just am not sure what I am looking at most of the time all I know is Bofors and pre garcia is good.
