L461 Vixen Info.

I am trying to date and find approximate value of my L461 heavy barrel in .223 cal. It is overall 95%-98% Ser# 242xx. Has on left side of receiver; L461 No1. Has been sighted in, less than 20 rnds fired.
It is a Garcia import. Please help if you can. Thanks

Hi Goldie -

Imagine your s/n is actually 1242xx - not unusual for spacing on numerals to be off a little. Imagine your rifle was probably made around mid-72. Pretty hard to establish value without some good photos, but based on your verbal description $850 might be a mid value. Besides precise condition much depends on the wood's character, whether or not it is a M-72 version and so forth. Many threads here for you to go through for additional info.
