Any one have any knowledge of the scope rings that would fit a L 581 Sako ?
I had heard they werent the standard Sako dovetail. I have a set of rings for this rifle but they are
higher than I need. I am new to Sako rifles, this is my second and its the smoothest bolt action I've
    used.

    Thanks

L581 was a collaboration between Sako and Tikka in the early 80’s.
The receiver has parallel dovetails like the Tikkas of that era. Not sure if they are the same width as the current production Tikkas but a quick measurement will set you on the right path.

Yes, the L581 uses the same dovetail mount as the (older) Tikkas. Be sure to get the Tikka mount which clamps on the dovetails, not the newer one which mounts with screws. You can find both styles on eBay and other places.
