Can you- all provide me with the following information? I just purchased 2. Sako model75 in 243 and 270 WSM. Which would be best for the 300 meter competition, also the type of sights I should use. No scopes allowed.

    Appreciate any information.

Whichever bullet/load combination is the most accurate. Both are capable of 300 meter work. If they are equal in the accuracy department give consideration to how much recoil you want or can tolerate during the competition & how it will affect your shooting during the contest. Also, if shots are taken in rapid succession the 270 barrel will heat up more & faster, which can affect accuracy during long strings. Don't know what the rules are on the sights, but if legal I would use a quality micrometer rear peep with adjustable or multiple aperture sizes & a globe front with spirit level & interchangeable inserts. That way you can choose what sight combo is best suited for the target & keep the rifle from being held in a canted position while shooting.
