• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

Ithaca LSA 65 scope rings

Sako Collectors Club Discussion Forum

Could anyone tell me what - if any - aftermarket scope rings are out there that will attach directly to the dovetail on a Ithaca / Tikka model 65 ? I've been chasing down rumors that Warne use to produce a QD model that would work but thus far haven't found any comfirmation .
Thanks,
Stillhunter

As far as I know the Warne rings are still in production. Check their website. All Tikka dovetails are the same so any rings made for the T3 will fit the older models. TheCZ 42 7 uses an identical dovetail, but with an indexing pin in the rear ring. The pins are usually removable, so any CZ 427 ring should work on any Tikka if you pull the pin.

Australian made Lynx-Hillver rings were available with a Tikka QD base, but they are hard to find. They were marketed in the US by B-Square and by Tasco as Tasco World Class.

Personally, I prefer vintage factory Tikka rings for M55/M65 rifles, but they were not made in a QD configuration. Conetrol also makes a beautiful base and ring setup for Tikka, but they are not QD. In fact, Conetrol rings are enough of a pain to install that no sane person ever removes them.
