I don't know what you paid for it, but you've got a well designed rifle. The MR Sako's are one of the best bargains in the used gun market. As you stated, they had krieger barrels and HS stocks. The l691 actions were made with the same top profile as a M700, so you can use any standard remington scope bases or rails. I am a huge fan, though I have yet to find one in a caliber that I really need. Be sure to post up some pics. These are by all rights, a true custom rifle and used ones can sometimes be had for well under $1,000.00.nor. If the 338 shoots as nice as the 264 I'll be happy. Can anyone tell me about the quality of the L691 action? Although Magnum Research used a round Sako receiver, the bridge and receiver ring on a Sako are the same height, therefore unless the receiver bridge was specially modified to be lower like a Remington 700, I'm thinking that the two rifles take different bases.
