Hi, own a few Sako's so I thought I'd join the forum to learn a little more about them.

One that I just picked up is a Sako AV in what looks either stainless or nickel but I didn't think they made stainless in the AV. Anybody got any info on this one. Its a L61R M90. As you can tell from the pic the stock has been painted.

The M90 indicates it has the Tikka trigger, which Sako started using in 1990. I'm not aware of any stainless AV's, so yours is most likely had the bluing polished off & "in the white" or has been plated or coated by a previous owner. I can't open the IMG, so can't see what you have.

It can be stainless. I bought a new AV 6,5x55 in 1989. It is a stainless.
