• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

I have a L61R in 30-06 with a 4 digit SN that I purchased last year. I was getting sub inch groups on practically everything I tried until a few days ago. Now I'll have at least two or three fliers and then two almost in the same whole with the same ammo I had used to hunt with this past hunting season. The same ammo went from a 1 inch or less group at a 100 yards to 3-5 inches. I noticed the barrel had some wiggle room next to the forearm. I thought this could be the problem, but if so they only solution I would know would be to glass bed. I havent ruled out the scope yet either as a possibility. Any one else noticed looseness where the barrel rests against the forearm? Any help would be appreciated.

fishermen, best thing to do, in this situation, is to first give the bore good cleaning. then check the action screws, then the mounts and rings making sure all is tight.Use good hollow ground screwdrivers as to not damage the slots. More than likely the movement or "wiggle" is the wood flexing in the forearm, unless the entire barreled action is twisting in the stock, which I doubt, be careful not to over tighten the action screws. Also check the muzzle crown for nicks or burrs , use a cotton ball swiping as you look for snags. Then take her out for a test. Hope this helps and good luck.-Bloo

fishermen- We have a search engine by Google on this site. Look to the top of the page before the header. Plug in accuracy problems and read all you can stomach. I have one thing to try if you reload, and that is to clean your reloading dies. It helps me. -Misako
