help on extractor removal

    Hi I have just purchased a marlin 322 which has the l-46 action with a long extractor,i have the bolt apart thanks to the video on the site,I can't figure out how to remove the extractor it's the long one,help,thanks Jack

    First I would avoid removing the extractor unless absolutely necessary.

    The extractor has a small tab on the underside that sits in a notch in the bolt body. Just carefully lift the claw end up until the tab clears the bolt body and pull forward. Good luck.

    bolt 3.jpg thanks to your info I got it off with out damaging it. this is why I needed it off
