• Hey All! Lately there has been more and more scammers on the forum board. They register and replies to members requests for guns and/or parts or other things. The reply contains a gmail or hotmail address or similar ”anonymous” email addresses which they want you to reply to. DO NOT ANSWER ANY STRANGE MESSAGES! They often state something like this: ”Hello! Saw your post about purchasing a stock for a Safari. KnuckleheadBob has one. Email him at: [email protected]” If you receive any strange messages: Check the status of whoever message you. If they have no posts and signed up the same day or very recently, stay away. Same goes for other members they might refer to. Check them too and if they are long standing members, PM them and ask if the message is legit. Most likely it’s not. Then use the report function in each message or post so I can kick them out! Beware of anything that might seem fishy! And again, for all of you who registered your personal name as username, please contact me so I can change it to a more anonymous username. You’d be surprised of how much one can find out about a person from just a username on a forum such ad our! All the best! And be safe! Jim

Hi There, picked up my new TRG 42 in 338 LM today very happy shooter. Looking to fit a Leupold Mark 4 8.5~25 ER/T M5. Any comments on my possible scope choice? Will be shooting Deer at 1000+yrds.
Has anybody had any experiance with March Scopes? Kiwi1

Hi There,

Yes i did pick up a muzzle brake but will also putting on a suppressor, had a look at the recommend one on friday and it will do the job of the muzzle brake and will reduce the noise.

I think i will be fitting the 8.5~25 ER/T M5, seems to be the best option inside my budget.I will be fitting the 3 ring , 20 MOA scope mount that Sako make for the TRG and a really looking forward to reach out and touching somthing.

I live in New Zealand and are able to shoot deer all year round, no season, they are considered a pest by the powers that be. It is possible in the areas i hunt, shoot, to spot Deer at 1000yrd + so will keep you up to date.

I will be working up loads over the next few months so can share if you wish, my TRG has 1/10" twist barrel so looking to shoot the 300 gr Sierra's etc.

Regards,

Kiwi1

I do not personally own a March but a good friend has one and is very pleased with it - in fact it appears he is going to sell his Z6 and possibly get another March

handy708,
I remember this conversation on another thread about the March. That must be some scope? I have a Z6i on my .460 WBY Mag. and that is top notch. I'll have to look into these.
Maybe someone has one on a TRG they'd like to share some information about?

Hi All, After alot of pro's and Con's will go the March way,. a friend of mine is using a 8~80x on a 42 and owns S&Bs and the March is on a par or better !! His words.

Have got a Load sorted and is working well on deer . 338 L/M Norma case, Fed Mag Match primer, 250gr Hornady Target bullet, 96.5grs of ADI 2217 = 2950 FPS.

Will post other loads as on get it sorted.
