Hi All - I recently picked up a pretty cool Coltsman Deluxe in .264 Win Mag. It has a very low serial number and a 26" barrel. Can't wait to shoot it! - Paul B.

What a prize! And in the scarcer round top action, too. No flies on that one.

Thanks Stone! I'm just surprised as to how low the serial number is. Three digits - 3XX.

What a beautiful gun! Do you know what Sako action it is? I too have the same gun in 30-06, three digit serial number. I wanted to put a scope on it. The top of our receivers are definitely not grooved like the l61r's. Do you know what mount to use? Thank you for your help!

Hey @troy finley , thanks for the kind words. The action is a "round top" Sako L61R. Mounts/rings can be found on GB if you search for "Coltsman". You should post a few pictures of your '06 as we always enjoy drooling over each other's guns, haha.

Thank you for your quick response! I know a bit about Winchesters, but these SAKO's are science onto themselves. What neat guns!

You can also check Weaver's website for scope mounts. They have a very large fit chart, including dozens of old/obsolete rifles. It's also likely that Kuharsky made a mount to fit a B&L external-adjustment scope to a Coltsman.
