    Hi Folks!

I'm trying to resolve a feeding issue on my A2 action Grendel, and I've bought a Sako replacement follower from Midwest:

Now, which way does the follower go? I'm _assuming_ the smooth side is the top and the narrow end is the front, but does anyone know?

    Thanks!
    Dave

Uh . . . I don't think that is a follower. It looks more like a "single shot magazine insert" to make single-loading in a magazine rifle easier. Turn it over and let us see a photo of its other side.

It didn't look like a follower to me either, but it is advertised as one: https://www.midwestgunworks.com/page/mgwi/prod/S3351530

    Here's the back side:

But now that I have the Grendel apart, I suspect I've found the real problem:

The follower spring doesn't fully support the follower, which then allows the follower to rock and dive and bind. Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

What does the follower from Midwest look like on top? Here is the follower from my L579, top and bottom. It isn't the same as what you have, but there could well have been a design change - mine is from a very early rifle, and the part you bought is most likely from late A-series production. I followed the link to Midwest's catalog page and the price took my breath away. Hopefully you can get the original follower to work and send the other back to Midwest.

The follower you got is for the 10 rd detachable box magazine.

    That makes sense. Thanks!
